Lately I’ve been being a lot more intentional with the way I shoot, from the content to the technique. I’ve realized that, that process all starts with where I decide to scout my locations. I found myself consistently looking for places in the southern part of the city, not realizing I was neglecting my own stomping grounds and focusing on the more “popular” parts of BR. I had no intentions of shooting at this park, but when I passed by the day before and saw the process of it’s renovation, I immediately thought “Wow, people need to see this!”. With that being said, I want to change people’s attitude about north Baton Rouge by challenging myself to shoot mainly in north Baton Rouge. There’s a lot of raw beauty in this city and it’s about time we were formally introduced to it ALL. #UptownBR
