Do Good and Seek Justice
Here in Baton Rouge, we are known for many things. From food to music to sports, our versatility & diversity abounds. But just last year in July, a member of the community Alton Sterling, was gunned down by local police officers and we are still left in the balance with no answers, convictions, or judgements. Pictured are Alton's aunt who raised him & and local publisher/activist Gary Chambers Jr. They were present along with others at a recent Metro Council meeting held on what would have been Alton's 38th birthday. An item was placed on the agend to address the 911 call that lead to Alton's grisly murder but unfortunately, the council did not get a chance to discuss the item due to time restrictions. Until next time...
